What is Belhuman Cosmetics?
Belhuman Cosmetics is a Nigerian clean skincare brand committed to repairing, nourishing, and protecting your skin using clinically proven, plant-based ingredients. Every product is formulated to deliver real, visible results — without bleaching, without hydroquinone and without compromising your skin’s health.
Are your products made in Nigeria?
Yes. Belhuman Cosmetics products are proudly formulated and produced in Nigeria.
Do your products contain hydroquinone?
No. None of our products contain hydroquinone. We do not make bleaching products. Our products brighten and even your skin tone by working with your skin — not against it.
If you are looking to bleach your skin, our products are not for you.
Good to know:
Brightening and bleaching are very different things. Brightening means helping your skin achieve its natural, healthy radiance. Bleaching means altering your skin’s melanin — which we do not do.
Are your products safe for dark skin tones?
Absolutely. All Belhuman products are formulated with all skin tones in mind, including deeper skin tones. We pay particular attention to concerns like hyperpigmentation and post-inflammatory dark marks which are especially common in melanin-rich skin.
What does clean cosmetics mean?
Belhuman is a clean cosmetics brand. This means every product is formulated without harmful, toxic, or unnecessary ingredients — no hydroquinone, no bleaching agents, no parabens, no sulphates, no mineral oil and no phthalates. Every ingredient we use is intentional, safe and clinically proven to benefit your skin. Clean cosmetics is our commitment to giving your skin only what it needs and nothing it doesn’t.

Are your products suitable for all skin types?
Yes. All Belhuman products are suitable for all skin types — oily, dry, combination, sensitive, and normal skin.

Do your products contain fragrance?
Some products contain a mild fragrance. If you have very sensitive or reactive skin and are concerned about fragrance, please check the ingredient list on the product page or contact our team before purchasing.
Do your products contain parabens or sulphates?
No. Our products are formulated without parabens, sulphates, mineral oil, phthalates or GMO ingredients.
What is the difference between the Advanced Rejuvenating Lotion and the Niacinamide Brightening Cream?
Both products moisturise and brighten but they serve different purposes. The Advanced Rejuvenating Lotion with SPF 30 is your daily maintenance product — it repairs and strengthens your skin barrier with ceramides, addresses hyperpigmentation, and protects against sun damage with SPF 30. It is lightweight and ideal as a morning moisturiser. The Niacinamide Brightening Cream is a targeted treatment cream — packed with Niacinamide, Tranexamic Acid, Alpha Arbutin, and Salicylic Acid to aggressively fade stubborn dark spots, clear acne marks, and even skin tone, while providing 24 hours of deep hydration. If your primary goal is treatment and correction, choose the Niacinamide Cream. For daily protection and maintenance, choose the Rejuvenating Lotion. For the best results, use both together.
What does the Exfoliating Treatment Shower Gel do?
The Exfoliating Treatment Shower Gel gently removes dead skin cells, unclogs pores, fades dark marks and scars, reduces the appearance of stretch marks, and reveals smoother, clearer skin with regular use. It can be used in place of a physical scrub as it is much kinder on the skin.
Can I use Belhuman products on my face and body?
Yes. Most of our products are formulated for both face and body use. Please check the individual product page to confirm.
Can I use multiple Belhuman products together?
Yes. Our products are designed to complement each other and work well when used together. If you are introducing a new product, add one at a time every 5 to 7 days so your skin can adjust.

How long does it take to see results?
Most customers notice improved skin texture, hydration and a more even tone within 2 to 4 weeks of consistent use. For dark spots and hyperpigmentation, visible fading typically occurs between 6 and 12 weeks. For deeper pigmentation and more advanced concerns, allow up to 12 weeks of consistent daily use. Consistency is the most important factor.
How often should I use the products?
For best results, use as directed on the product page — most products are recommended for morning and evening use. The Exfoliating Shower Gel can be used daily or every other day depending on your skin’s sensitivity.
My skin broke out when I started using a new product. Is this normal?
Some people experience a short adjustment period — sometimes called purging — when introducing new actives like Niacinamide or Salicylic Acid. This typically lasts 2 to 4 weeks as the product works to clear congestion beneath the skin. If irritation is severe or persists beyond 4 weeks, discontinue use and contact our team.
Can I use Belhuman products if I have sensitive skin?
Yes. All our products are formulated to be gentle and effective for sensitive skin. If your skin is very reactive, we recommend doing a patch test on a small area of your inner arm for 24 hours before full application.
What is a patch test and how do I do one?
A patch test checks how your skin reacts to a new product before you apply it to your face or body. Apply a small amount of the product to the inside of your elbow or wrist. Leave it for 24 hours without washing. If you experience no redness, itching, or irritation, the product is safe for you to use normally.
I've been using the product for weeks and I'm not seeing results. What should I do?
First, check that you are using the product consistently every day — skipping days significantly slows results. Second, make sure you are using SPF during the day, as sun exposure will counteract brightening and fading results. If after 8 weeks of consistent daily use you are still not seeing improvement, contact our team and we will help you assess your routine.
